Hi All
Apologies for what is probably a basic question, but I'm (still) having
trouble getting unichrome drivers working.
I have installed Ubuntu on my SP13000 EPIA machine, and figured I'd get
the 'snapshot' packages from www.openchrome.org.
When I tried to install the xserver-xorg deb package, however, I got the
following:
# sudo dpkg -i xserver-xorg-driver-via_0.1.32-1_i386.deb
(Reading database ... 60057 files and directories currently installed.)
Unpacking xserver-xorg-driver-via (from
xserver-xorg-driver-via_0.1.32-1_i386.deb) ...
dpkg: error processing xserver-xorg-driver-via_0.1.32-1_i386.deb
(--install):
trying to overwrite `/usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/via_drv.o', which
is also in package xserver-xorg
dpkg-deb: subprocess paste killed by signal (Broken pipe)
Errors were encountered while processing:
xserver-xorg-driver-via_0.1.32-1_i386.deb
I tried renaming via_drv.o to via_drv.o.back, but got the same thing.
Can I just delete the via_drv.o file? I thought it was necessary for
xorg to work, so didn't want to do that.
How should I be installing this package?
Thanks in advance,
Andrew
