Re: problem with resume after suspend to

I know it's an old post. But _maybe_ I can help.

I had the same problem for a long time and thought
it couldn't be fixed. But then suddenly it worked :)
The only things I did was
1) Remove any framebuffer drivers from the kernel (Actually
it's compiled as a module but that module isn't loaded :)
2) I booted winxp to check if suspend-resume worked there,
    which it did.
3) Rebooted linux, and now suspend-resume works.
I don't think step 2 did anything, but that's what I did.

So the driver is almost perfect for me except:
1) xrandr sometimes doesn't work (after resume).
(I've opened a ticket about this)
2) mplayer's sometimes got strange colors (after resume).
(this can be fixed by playing something in mythtv,
so it MIGHT be a mplayer bug)

Regarding the original posters "lirc_proxy" I did something
similar. But instead of creating my own proxy I died
"emerge socat" and made a little script.
If you want it, reply.
