[Openchrome-users] Hardware acceleration in 3d game (tremulous)

Hi!
I just installed the latest openchrome driver via svn on my new laptop
(noname), compiled it etc. and everything seems fine. glxinfo says
"Direct rendering: yes", and glxgears show a framerate of ~700 fps.
Therefore I assumed that my hardware acceleration was working. Then I
started my favorite 3d opensource game (tremulous), but it did not
start up. Instead it said that I was using software mesa, and it could
not load the OpenGl subsystem.
The graphics chip is an integrated CN400/PM880 S3 Unichrome Pro VGA
Adapter rev 02.
My system is Debian testing with kernel 2.6.17.3. Mesa is 6.4.2.
Any hints would be greatly appreciated from my side ;-)
Cheers,
Christian
