What would be really great is if the version in configure.ac increased
also increased with revision to SVN. I believe CVS was able to put
revision numbers into files using some sort of special tag. That way,
when something is checked in, configure.ac's version increases, and
building a distribution (make dist-check) would get a new version, and a
new deb with a correct version number could be released.

Right now, version 0.2.1 has been around for a while, and has had
numerous changes added to it. So, there could be potentially multiple
versions of 0.2.1, which works when cutting a new release, but doesn't
lend itself well to packaging.
