Check what version of libGL you're using by looking in /usr/X11R6/lib -
1.2 uses hardware acceleration and 1.5 is software-only. Check your
environment variables to make sure LIBGL_ALWAYS_INDIRECT isn't set, as
it is by default in some distros.
