Comment (by zartzartzart+openchrome at gmail.com):
hmm well I know about the ACPI wake-up but for some reason it doesn't work
on my epia board. (AFAIK it's a common problem with some brands). So
adjusting the wake-up time requires reboot to take effect. So instead I
have a fixed wake-up time (set in bios) and adjust the hardware clock to
make the comp. wake up at the correct time. (An idea stolen from some
other user trying to make nvram wake-up work)
After finding out about the timestamp mismatch I figured it might have
something to do with the time adjustment. Hence I tried suspending without
adjusting time and I couldn't get xrandr to break (But as I said, It
doesn't always break so I'm not completely sure about this).
This led me to believe it might be some kind of race condition, so if the
time is adjusted _after_ the display driver is reinitialized, the
timestamps don't match. So the ``fix'' is to wait for time-correction
after resume and first after this we do a `chvt 7`.
My assumption may be completely wrong. But so far it works.
