 I've got the same problem,
 most annoying thing about this bug is that absolutely nothing
 suspicious is to be found in the log files (at least with
 default verbosity).
 System:  xorg-server 1.0.99.901-r1, openchrome svn (It's been like that
 since I first installed last december), drm and agp from kernel
 2.6.17-rc2.
