This has been a show stopper for me for quite some time. Every time I
attempt to use the OpenChrome driver (checked out earlier today from
subversion rep.) the Xorg server gets to:

 (II) VIA(0): Trying VBE Mode 1024x768 (0xc118)

and then just performs a backtrace. I am running amd64 gentoo on a
Turion64 proc. I have tried multiple kernels and I am currently running
 DRM from CVS.

 lspci identifies my card as:
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. S3 Unichrome Pro
 VGA Adapter (rev 01)

 My Xorg log is at:
 http://pastebin.ca/55730

 My xorg.conf is at:
 http://pastebin.ca/55731

If any other information is required please don't hesitate to ask. This is
absolutely mandatory I believe for the driver. I've been using the VESA
driver for the past roughly 4 months and it's driving my suicidal =P
