Re: Unichrome Pro/Gentoo/Xorg 7.0.0 "couldn't open module drm"
Kafu, I originally build my own Openchrome and DRM driver because I was having trouble getting the Gentoo drivers to work (XvMCPro in particular) with my P4M800Pro. I'll certainly try again, if I don't realize success soon.

Chad, Your methods make sense to me, but I'm still getting the errors:

(II) LoadModule: "drm"
(WW) Warning, couldn't open module drm
(II) UnloadModule: "drm"
(EE) Failed to load module "drm" (module does not exist, 0)
(II) LoadModule: "ddc"
(II) Loading /usr/lib/xorg/modules/libddc.so
(II) Module ddc: vendor="X.Org Foundation"
blah blah blah

What module can't it find? (libdrm.so >> libdrm.so.0.0.2?)
and where should it be located? (/usr/lib/xorg/modules/?)

Since I rebuilt my kernel with genkernel, I'm using an initrd file. That shouldn't have an impact, should it? I've tried both r7 and r8 kernels.

Thanks for all the help.

Cal
