[Openchrome-users] 1625 TV Output: YCbCr & YPbPr

I've been going through the via driver and comparing what it is
doing with the openchrome driver, and have a few questions I
hope someone may be able to answer. I'm trying to determine why
I'm not getting a signal that my projector can display from the
component output. The via driver does provide a signal that I can see.

So, there is some difference somewhere...

However, YCbCr & YPbPr...
The via driver supports both, while the unichrome driver only supports
YCbCr. My projector labels its component inputs as YPbPr (1 and 2).
Wikipedia doesn't provide much meaningful information (to me anyways)
in regards to what they are. They sound similar, but at no point does
wikipedia say they are the same thing.

Now, the via driver when setting the output for YCbCr sets registers
0x65-67 to the values 0x55, 0x54, and 0x56. When it sets up YPbPr,
the values are 0x55, 0x56, and 0x55. This is something to do with amplitude.

The unichrome driver, only handling YCbCr sets registers
0x65-67 to the values 0x55, 0x56, and 0x55. Which are the values
that the unichrome drivers uses to set YPbPr. Needless to say,
I'm a little confused. Is this just another little "typo" problem in the
VT1625Table? Maybe a cut n paste issue?

Is there anyone on the list who "specializes" in tv output for the
unichrome driver? I'd like to help out if I can, and can certainly help
test.

I tried signing up for the wiki so I could help there, but my registration
email got lost somewhere. Something is really odd about the email
from the openchrome servers to my home address. It doesn't seem that
anything coming that direction gets through. Is there anyone who can
verify that things for 'ddickey at charter.net' are getting emailed out and
where the next hop is? I'll contact the postmaster there and see if I can't
follow the trail and figure things out that way. I do all my own spam
filtering, so I know that is not an issue on my end.
