Yes, the latest commit to experimental broke it (lipciaccess support). 
This is still being investigated.

As a rule of thumb, distros and people should use the release or 
possibly the trunk. experimental branch is, well, experimental and will 
break from time to time. Same applies for all the branches actually.

Experimental branch is currently used for libpciaccess testing, while 
randr branch has some better panel code, secondary display improvement 
and hardware cursor improvement. All of that is still a work in progress 
and is not for day to day use.
