verify that you have the following kernel modules loaded also:
# lsmod | egrep 'via|drm|agp'
via_agp                 7936  0
via                    35072  0
drm                    62484  1 via
agpgart                23216  2 via_agp,drm

This may or may not help.  From your Xorg.0.log, it looks like
one or more of these are missing though.
