[Openchrome-users] XvMC in vlc

Hi,

I'm working on adding XvMC_VLD support to vlc. I initially started by looking
at the XvMC code committed last year based on xine's implementation. It's too
hard for my poor little brain to fix, so I had a look at mplayer and mythtv
which both use a patched (albeit slightly differently for each) libavcodec. I
decided to go with adapting from mplayer.

I have unscaled pictures displaying now, but have lots of green flashing and
weird horizontal banding. If I change to/from full screen or raise/lower the
output window I get a clear picture displayed momentarily, but then it's back
to the green flashing and banding. I'm fairly sure my problems are to do with
either locking or timing or perhaps both, I'm also ignoring subpictures at
the moment could this have an effect?

I'm testing with a progressive scan 720x480 mpeg to nullify any possible
(de)interlacing problems.

If anyone can give me any hints (Thomas, Ivor)? They would be _really_
welcome, I feel I'm so close now but have hit a wall...

Ron
