[Openchrome-users] DVI-D and monitor power control.

Hi,

just got the DVI part on my Jetway CN700 board working with a DVI
extension board (VT1632A/VT1636). Had to add the VIA_DEVICE_LCD to
via_id.c since the board is identified as "VIA VT3344 (VM800) - EPIA EN"
which does not seem to have a DVI option.

The VT3344 part probably is a typo since this is a non-existing chip,
should be VT3314 or just call it CN700 which seems to be a common name
in the MB docs.

Anyway, all works perfectly well in the first attempt (video, DRI,
XVMC), just set the BIOS settings right and it works. Removed the analog
cable and now running with only DVI. Only problem problem now is the
power control of the monitor. With the analog cable connected the screen
would go into screensaver and after that in standby, now with only DVI
the screen will not go into standby anymore.

Is this a hardware limitation or software limitation and what can be
done to solve this? The monitor is on a 24/7 system so I'm just powering
it of manual for now but it's easy to forget.

Regds,
