I cannot give you an answer about that issue because I do not know, but
yes I use xine configured with xxmc.

so maybe we have different deadlock triggers because my system die also
using mplayer and xv... (or any other player using xv) but this one is
more difficult to reproduce.

I'll try to get console output from a die caused by playing a video in
xv... stay tuned! :)
