Hi Richard,

No this will not be possible the MESA 3D drivers for the Via chipsets 
are missing texture rendering implementations.

So Compiz will not work.

3D will work a little bit, but my experience is that it is very 
unstable. Better disable 3D rendering at all. then you have a good 2D 
system with mpeg decoding.
