I'm not so sure, given it's proprietary. It seems more likely that
the usual path will be followed :- various manufacturers will all
do it differently, and much later on (once they decide it's not
a competitive edge anymore), they'll standardize it through VESA etc.
Meanwhile, nothing works properly.

Sigh. Sure it's doable on a case by case basis, but to get hold of
each montor and reverse engineer it or negotiate a licence from
the manufacturer, is usually only something a well funded commercial
organization can do. It's all too similar a situation to that of connecting
and driving various color instruments ...
