While your statement is technically correct, the real life reveals
that organizations are given more projects when students activity is
high (i.e. lots of proposals doen by actual potential students). So
the sooner you get interested people, the better :)
You do know I have a list of projects to be done ;-) Two of them (more
supported devices and Gutenprint drivers linearization) are already in
process of being covered, but others remain. So we need people.
Software is people, I'd say.
