[Openicc] [ANNOUNCE] Oyranos Version 0.2.0

Happy new year to all list readers,

The new beta of the colour management system Oyranos is out.
Version 0.2.0 is a feature release with new capabilities.
With full support of the ICC meta tag it supports now implicite device 
profile selection for monitors. The options system improoved and all 
known bugs where fixed.


Changes Overview:
* API changed by moving the "rendering_high_precission" key out of
   the standards keys. The key is now a individual property of lcms/2.
   This improves rendering of linear cameraRAW images with some display
   profiles.
* Require OpenICC-data package - realy.
* Support ICC 'meta' tag parsing and comparision. And add basic meta
   tag data structures for writing.
* Support flexible monitor information embedding into ICC profiles with
   the oyranos-monitor tool. Add the --device-meta-tag option.
* Support device to profile matching with meta tag syntax.
* Support ICC meta Tag for Monitor Profiles in Xorg and Quarz modules.
* Support monitor module selection on osX by splitting the Quarz
   module, called 'qarz', from Xorg's 'oyX1'. The module is selectable in
   the oyranos-monitor tool.
* Support chromaticity fetching for broken or absent EDID in oyX1. This
   improves the situation with CompIcc running on ATI.
* Support linked ICC tags writing.
* Support cameraRAW converter options and exif keys to ICC matching
   through oyRE module from Yiannis Belias. The module needs libraw.
* Support more of the newer lcms2 flags.
* Fix lcms threaded processing through the cmsFLAGS_NOCACHE flag.
* Support cinema and Rgb print proof profile selection
* Fix oFORMS FLTK i18n rendering of utf-8 encoded XFORMS XML.
* Fix oFORMS FLTK i18n displaying on osX.
* Fix oFORMS FLTK help text view.
* Add oyranos-xforms-module tool to create options XFORMS from a module.
* Fix oFORMS cli options tool.
* Support new oFORMS cli options to show help texts and choices. 
* Support same oFORMS base options set in cli and FLTK renderers for
   exchange


About:
Oyranos is a colour management system allowing to share various settings 
across applications and services. The provided interfaces are the 
C library, native graphical front ends and partitial access through 
command line tools. Oyranos uses internally the Elektra configuration 
system.


Known Applications using Oyranos:
ICC Examin, the KDE kolor manager configuration dialog, the CompIcc 
colour server and more.
