Great example. Agreed, common terms are good usability.

Beside that I completly agree that it is an issue, we still live in a 
heterogenous software landscape with the open source operating systems. 
They do not have one kernel or one toolkit or one icon theme. The same 
applies for the PDF renderers, spooling softwares, CMMs, CMSes and so on.

Oyranos had right from the beginning the intention to provide common 
terms and translations. Thats exactly the reason why IMO this stuff 
belongs into a CMS and should be exported. The problem is, my terms are 
not the ones of other authors. We have to discuss each english term first. 
Then we hopefully can settle in a more or less formal way.
