I agree re.gamut. The present situation is not optimal.
My view is that we will bring up the whole color managed printing workflow
using ink presets that already exist and the existing conversion formula,
and use RGB profiling. Once that is working we can and will experiment with
swapping out various bits and pieces.
The existing presets are reasonably linear enough so that in my opinion with
current Epsons one gets profiled prints which are comparable in quality with
the native Epson driver, although there are some (minor) gamut issues. Thus
I have no qualms in supplying the results of this procedure to users.
