AppInstall just provides information which packages contain which
applications. It makes PK frontends able to offer installation/removals of
applications through the package management.
E.g. if the package "vlc" contains the application "VLC Media Player",
GNOME-PackageKit will not display only the package "vlc" but also an entrs
"VLC Media Player" with the application's icon, description etc.
You can compare AppInstall to the data the Ubuntu SoftwareCenter.
GNOME-PackageKit will have simmilar possibilities like USC if AppInstall is
included.
