I think it's available in the gnome3 PPA, although I don't have any
more information than that. From a personal point of view, I don't
think the stock Ubuntu is a great way to get GNOME 3 now as they are
kinda following their own path with the whole unity thing. The gnome
PPA might help things a bit although I'm sure the integration wont be
there.
