[packagekit] extremely quick search for available package names matching a pattern

That is definitely the bet idea, but apart from that: PackageKit 0.8.x
brings massive speed improvements, I get search results almost
instantly here. Ubuntu does not yet have this version, but Debian
Experimental provides it. You might want to give it a try ;-)
