I always build piglit from git, so doing a release wouldn't really
affect me much.  Are there still people who run the released version
of piglit (or who would, if it weren't two years old)?  If so, I
wouldn't object to us making a release candidate branch before these
changes go in.  But it's low on my personal list of priorities so we
would need someone to volunteer to drive the release process.
