Hi.
From a user point of view - it's official. I, for example, have a
crawler checking releases/ directory and update accordingly. If I
didn't read this random thread about KMS, I wouldn't know I have
packaged a test version.

In the feature please version test releases in a way that distinguishes
them from stable ones.
