New equivalent to polkit-gnome-authorization

Hello everybody,

Problem:
I am using the new Ubuntu 9.10. I read in a bug discussion on launchpad
that its developers had moved to policykit-1 and therefore had abandoned
the tool "polkit-gnome-authorization". Though it had poor interface it
enabled to make some authorizations permanent and revoke them later if
needed. Now it is dim how to accomplish such tasks.

Questions:
Are you planning an updated version of this tool?
If not, can you provide this updated tool as an interim solution, until
your plan is fully available?
