Just to be sure: Here a listing of the failed tests and my comments to it:

Algorithmics - The Spirit of Computing, 3rd Ed.pdf: page 284 & page 288: tiling
pattern fill, but no visible differences
Essentials of English Grammar - www.ielts4u.blogfa.com.pdf, page 4, 5 & 16:
uses different (not embedded!) fonts: font caching is no more global, only page
based 
Radio Propagation and Adaptive Antennas for Wireless Communication Links
(2006).pdf, page 140, 141, 183, 186, 211: tiling pattern fill, but no visible
differences
SPU_ISA_v10.f8.pdf: stops rendering after page 117: head revision does the
same, but instead of outputting an empty page, it duplicates page 117. If
rendering only page 117, it outputs an empty page, too!
bug-poppler10898.pdf: page 30 not rendered (same as SPU_ISA_v10.f8.pdf)
bug-poppler10910.pdf: stops rendering after page 26 (same as
SPU_ISA_v10.f8.pdf)
bug-poppler21754.pdf: page 115 & 117: problem with fonts (Bad bounding box in
Type 3 glyph: type 3 fonts are cached in SplashOutputDev, which is global in
head revision but page based in thread based rendering): just rendering page
115 or page 117 with head and thread revision has the same output!
bug-poppler26533.pdf: invisible differences, again tiling pattern fill
bug-poppler26776.pdf: several pages: problem with fonts (Bad bounding box in
Type 3 glyph), same as bug-poppler21754.pdf
bug-poppler28357.pdf: invisible differences (only 1 page!), again tiling
pattern fill
bug-poppler28806.pdf: only page 1 rendered (same as SPU_ISA_v10.f8.pdf)
dc-15-muentz-WP.f9.pdf: page 5 not rendered  (same as SPU_ISA_v10.f8.pdf)
political_world.pdf: invisible differences (only 1 page!), assume once again
tiling pattern fill 
sinatr4c.f5.pdf: stops rendering after page 100 (same as SPU_ISA_v10.f8.pdf)
slls185d.f6.pdf: stops rendering after page 3 (same as SPU_ISA_v10.f8.pdf)
tauya.f8.pdf: some chars missing on almost all pages, but because it is really
damaged and the result is not readable with either version, I like to ignore
this output
