Thanks for the swift reply.

To be honest, I haven't investigate the details of how okular calls poppler,
but my request to the Okular developers that they improve the code's
concurrently was rejects due to lack of support in poppler (specifically, lack
of thread-safeness) .. hence this bug.  [I had hoped they would open the
ticket, rather than rejecting it, but hey ho...]

If you say that the poppler API is thread-safe, then I'll reopen the okular
ticket saying that they're reason for closing it is flawed (or my understand of
it is wrong).
