[poppler] pdftops creates invalid postscript-file

well... i dont know what pdftops you are using, but mine is the one
which comes with poppler-0.5.3 on my gentoo system...
so it should be the most recent one... (gentoo does not fiddle with the
release of poppler...)
and since i used the poppler pdftops it should not have anything to do
with gs...
i just tested it with poppler-0.5.1 and there i have no problems at
all....
so this seems to be a recent bug in poppler... i will try svn/cvs
version next ...
