The passwords for encrypted docs need to be in Latin1 encoding.
I've worked up a unit test (based on a couple of files I just posted) that
shows that poppler is fine, just as long as the password is properly encoded.
The patch also has some bonus elements:
* the stress-poppler-qt4 test, that can test a whole directory of pdf files.
* some API documentation fixes, mostly related to the encryption stuff.
* some fixes for appropriate encoding of file names in the Qt4 tests
