Version= key

"Version of the Desktop Entry Specification that the desktop entry conforms
with. Entries that confirm with this version of the specification should use
1.0. Note that the version field is not required to be present."

so, .desktop files are not required to have this.


and I cant find any reference to needing this Version= key (or Value) in
.directory files mentioned here either:
http://standards.freedesktop.org/menu-spec/menu-spec-latest.html

So, I'm tempted to just remove that text stanza from the docs.
