[Portland] xdg-menu copies .desktop file

 Hello,

 if I'm getting it right, xdg-menu currently copies the given .desktop file to 
whichever location it decides to copy it to. Wouldn't it make more sense if 
it (at least optionally) symlinked to the file instead, as suggested by me in 
the "Request for clarification on menu/file spec" thread on the xdg at list 
(http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/xdg/2006-February/007751.html)?
