[Portland] X-KDE-SubstituteUID

hi,

maybe it's not related directly to this mailinglist. but I don't know a
better place to ask.
I install one desktop program which should be executed as root. I use

X-KDE-SubstituteUID=true

in the .desktop file which does not work on GNOME.
Does anybody knows an replacement for this entry?
