[Portland] xdg-utils on ubuntu 6.06

Shahid,

I have seen some distributions be very picky about how the menus are 
installed. Have you tried running the testsuite? In particular, try 
running the xdg-desktop-menu tests. If they pass, look to see that you 
are following the test procedure exactly. If not, there may be some 
other problem.
