[Promotion] Women in FLOSS day?

No you did not. But I also think that such a day as such would be
exciting without any awards (this was just one of your ideas and I
know you did not mean that we must have this).

If we look at similar days there is the "womens day" (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Women's_Day ) or the May
Day ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/May_Day) there is not the one event
but the many events that really create the character. An award would
be more something like the Nobel Prize or the Alternative prize. But
these are more for helping individuals to get awareness.

BTW: My name "Women in FLOSS day" is not very good for media
attention. Maybe we should find something more compelling? Other
suggestions:

  * Emancipation Software Day
  * WOSD (Women's Open Source Day)
  * FLOW ( Free/Libre Opensource Women )
