#899: atomic, programmable interface?

Comment(by danutz):

 Writing a program to control modules, sinks and sources should be a simple
 task, on the par with calling pacmd / pactl manually. It currently isn't.
 This is why I filed the ticket.

 The dbus interface was, at the time this ticket was opened, not usable
 (both in terms of stability and completeness). I don't know if this is
 still the case.

 In any case, there should be high-level language bindings (python, first
 and foremost) for either libpulse or the pulse-dbus interface. See
 previous comments.
