I use Linux Mint 11(KATYA)...I have pulseaudio 0.9.22-24-g67d18 installed.
However, I cannot get my mic working. Only response is a periodic signal spike
in the input channel. I can play songs/sounds. However, Mic won't work.

Also, when I give 'test speakers' option in the volume control, I don't get a
response. 

PLease help
