          Priority: medium
            Bug ID: 67472
                CC: lennart at poettering.net
          Assignee: pulseaudio-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: Refuses to --start due to "User configured server"
        QA Contact: pulseaudio-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
          Severity: normal
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: Linux (All)
          Reporter: mk at cognitivedissonance.ca
          Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
            Status: NEW
           Version: unspecified
         Component: daemon
           Product: PulseAudio

Eg:

> pulseaudio --start -vvvv
N: [pulseaudio] main.c: User-configured server at tcp:192.168.2.13:4713,
refusing to start/autospawn.

And no further information in syslog either. Run in the foreground (i.e.,
without --start), it works fine. I found a recommendation somewhere, vis.

pax11publish -d
pax11publish -r

Might help, and/or deleting the contents of ~/.pulse, but none of that solves
the problem. A normal user in X can't run it as a demon with:

default-server = tcp:192.168.2.13.4713

in /etc/client.conf.

This is version 1.1 on fedora 17.
