            Bug ID: 88834
Summary: When looking for the machine-id file, /etc/machine-id
should be checked regardless of sysconfdir
           Product: PulseAudio
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: Other
                OS: All
            Status: NEW
          Keywords: love
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: daemon
          Assignee: pulseaudio-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
          Reporter: tanuk at iki.fi
        QA Contact: pulseaudio-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
                CC: lennart at poettering.net

By default sysconfdir is /usr/local/etc, which causes PulseAudio to fail to
find the machine-id. If ${sysconfdir}/machine-id is found, it should be used,
but I think it would be good to fall back to /etc/machine-id if
${sysconfdir}/machine-id is not found.
