Doing this on the terminal is not a solution. The hard part is
dealing with the clock differences between your input and your output.

Yes, having this wouldn't hurt. It's not trivial to do so however, due
to the different timing of your devices. It's doable however (as shown
by module-combine).

I think this is not particularly useful for the general use cases, so this
is not a priority for me. Which means: If you want to see this happen: I am
always happy to take patches.
