I certainly wouldn't do that. But then again I have no clue would
people understand under a "stable" distribution. In my opinion only
security upgrades and bugfixes should enter an already released distro,
the way Debian is handling it. And the 0.9.16 release does not qualify
as such an upgrade, far from that.

the changes to pk 0.9 are far from trivial. I wouldn't bother.
