Uh, that's a very bad idea, as for cards with builtin amplifiers (such
as USB speakers) 80% will blast off your ears. 80% has no defined
meaning and will result in completely different volumes on different
hardware. 

If at all use "alsctl init 0" which is a lot smarter about coming up
with good default, based on the hw in use.

But that said it is presumably a much better idea to use the default
logic which saves/restores the volume settings between sessions, as
Colin pointed out.
