Nope, pacmd is linked against the libraries in /usr/local/PulseAudio/lib -
as ldd revealed.

Yes, I am indeed debugging. I want to make my Linux box work as a Bluetooth
stereo headset. Could you please initiate me to the black magic for
debugging.
