In the current beta you definitely need this box unticked.
I blogged about this a while back and have been trying to help the Skype
devs get their PA support working nicely. Sadly due to a deadline we
couldn't fix the problem with AGC for their final release so it will not
work with PA for this release but I believe the box will be disabled for
the PA backend, so you wont have to do anything manually come final release.
Also, as Skype calls are (or will be) tagged as "phone", when you turn
on your Bluetooth headset mid call, it will automcatially switch the
Skype streams to your headset for you via the module-intended-roles
module that is loaded by default.
