I'm afraid that the ROAP protocol is pretty tricky at best (no
documentation, stupid encryption etc. etc., and as such I don't have
much to go on.

Sadly without h/w to test and a working setup to "sniff", there isn't
much I can do to fix this myself.

If you like you could try and contact JBL to get them to send a test
unit to us (on loan) such that we can work on support. I don't fancy
your changes (Denon didn't do anything about that when I asked) but you
never know.
