Greetings to the list,
I've connected a PlayStation to my laptop via the USB dongle
"Hauppauge WinTV-HVR900".
As I plug the dongle i can see that a new sound device is created in /dev/snd

don't understand why I can't hear sounds from PlayStation.
(Connecting the PS system to the television I can hear the sounds)
With "pacmd list-sources" i got this output:

Running the command
parecord -d alsa_input.pci-0000_00_1d.7-usb-0_4.analog-stereo
--file-format=wav > /tmp/test.wav
produces a completely silent WAV file.
I've tried to play around with pavucontrol options with no luck.
I'm using Fedora 17 with PulseAudio 1.1.9-fc17
Hope somebody can help me,
my kindest regards,
-Fabio
