Typically pro-audio sound cards don't have alsa configuration that
PulseAudio would be able to use without extra work. PulseAudio depends
on there being a device called "front" for stereo playback, or
"surround51" for 5.1 playback. Probably those devices are missing from
the alsa configuration.

It's probably possible to support the card in PulseAudio by writing a
custom profile-set configuration file for it. Here is some documentation
for how to do it:

which may be useful as examples:

If you write a profile set file for Fast Track C400, please send it to
the mailing list so that we can support the card in future PulseAudio
versions.
