We don't have formal rules for the mailing list messages. My only
recommendation is to be respectful towards everyone else. With regards
to more technical rules, if you know the difference between top-posting 
and interleaved posting style, the interleaved posting style is
preferred. You don't seem to be sending HTML mail, which is good.

As you found out, non-member mails go to the moderation queue. Your
mail address is now whitelisted, so your mails will be automatically
accepted from now on, but to be sure that you see the replies to your
mails, I recommend subscribing.
