... which is difficult for people who don't have a fixed IP address (I
and a few others victims are working from home via DSL lines where the
IP address changes every 12h-24h). Right now I cannot commit anything...
;-(

It would be nice if the workarounds added in this release to make the
FreeType module compatible to older Freetype releases get removed for
the next (R6.8.1) release to gurantee that all Xorg releases start to
work properly with CJKV locales and that the XTT extensions are finally
available across _all_ platforms.

I still have no clue where this issue comes from... ;-(
My theory: It seems somewhere a timer or timeout happens (since the
issue starts exactly 2mins after the last clients has exit) and isn't
handled properly. But I can't find such a timeout value nor was the
issue present a few months ago so it is likely a recent regression,
maybe introduced with one of the new features/extensions (and just
compiling without those extensions is not possible since the build
breaks - I have listed the bugids for that below). And pulling CVS by
date (to figure out the approx. date when the problem started) doesn't
work either due CVS problems... ;-(

I have replied to Kevin's email... we have to debate what's the best
solution in this case...

Is there a place where the *.spec files for the RPMs are stored ?

There are a couple of build bustage issues which should be considered,
too:
- https://freedesktop.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=997 ("Build failure
with |#define BuildXfixes NO|")
- https://freedesktop.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=570 ("Build with
|#define BuildDPMS NO| fails")
- https://freedesktop.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=993 ("Build failure
with |#define BuildXevie NO|")
- https://freedesktop.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=906 ("CVS trunk does
not compile with |#define OptimizedCDebugFlags -g -DDEBUG|")

Another issue which cases headaches for me is
https://freedesktop.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=961 ("Xnest crashes in
damagePaintWindow()"): Xnest doesn't seem to start anymore... ;-(

Finally:
Is it allowed to update manual pages and other documentation during the
freeze (https://freedesktop.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=811 comes in
mind) ?
